Inspired by Austin Kleon, I've decided to keep a daily commonplace quote book throughout 2022 in Field Notes Ignition planners. This week, the quote comes from Burnout by Amelia and Emily Nagoski.
Emotions are tunnels. If you go all the way through them, you get to the light at the end.
This quote resonated particularly as we went from 2021 to 2022, because it's definitely been an emotional year for me. Lots of things have changed, and while I would love to be able to say confidently that lots of growth has happened, let's just say I'm still a work in progress. And of course the imagery of light at the end of a tunnel is not a new one, but this landed in a very timely way to give me encouragement to set positive intentions for personal growth and progress through 2022.
So here's to a new year!
